ACCESSIBILITY

We have tried to make the Mead centre as accessible as possible

Wheelchair Icon

The entrance is level and wide enough for a wheelchair or mobility scooter. There are accessible toilets on the ground floor, and a lift to the first floor is available.

There is a reception desk on the right hand side of the entrance hall, and the volunteers there will be happy to help you.

A changing bed is being installed in a bathroom designed to meet the needs of disabled children and adults with complex care needs who require carer support, appropriate equipment, and more space. and should be in place by the summer, and a shower is available.

We are working on fitting our sensory room which will be available to the community.

The Mead Centre has a very limited amount of parking available for use by those with a valid disabled parking badge. Others are requested to use one of the nearby public car parks and walk to the Centre.

If there is something we can do to make the centre more accessible to you, please let us know!
