Rooms and Facilities
The Mead Centre is at the heart of Newport Pagnell and is easily accessible to local people and to visitors from Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages, or further afield. There are a number of rooms and facilities that can be booked by anyone in the community.

There may be different activities and events taking place at the same time, and all centre users are asked to respect other users.

Rooms
Large Hall
Capacity: 120 people | Dimensions: 14.80m x 8.70m
Our Large Hall can accommodate up to 120 people for meetings, events, and activities. The hall is next to the kitchen and joined by the serving hatch. This makes it an ideal location for intergenerational and community meals, and for events that include catering, such as weddings, birthday parties, community events, and large meetings.
The room has excellent acoustics, which makes it ideal for musical activities.
The Mead Centre is covered by a music licence.
Studio
Capacity: 30 people
Our Studio space can accommodate up to 30 people seated. This is a brightly lit space, well suited for arts and crafts, or exercise groups such as yoga or Pilates.
Meeting Room
Capacity: 15 people
Our ground floor meeting room seats up to 15 people.
Quiet Room
Capacity: 2 people
A small quiet room is available for one-to-one meetings, counselling sessions or similar.
Sensory Room
Our Sensory Room is a calm, quiet and relaxing space within the Mead Centre. It is a therapeutic space for all sections of the community, particularly children, people living with dementia and men and women with mental health problems.
The room contains a selection of interactive objects to engage with.
To ensure that the room is fully accessible, an electric hoist is available. In addition, an adult sized changing table and shower can be accessed using a lift.
Facilities
Large Kitchen
Our large kitchen can open up to the Main Hall via a large serving hatch. It is fully equipped for the preparation of food for cafes or community meals.
Small Kitchen
There is a smaller kitchen on the first floor. This is ideal for preparing and serving light refreshments.
Changing room / Wet Room with hoist
Our Changing room / Wet room has a hoist which is suitable for adults and children. This ensures that everyone can participate in community events and activities.
We have a number of rooms available for the community to use.
